Trina's Olympic Dream

Trina Gorr-Allison, Project Coordinator for Training Health and Safety, got to live her Olympic Dream as one of the Torch Bearers for Ottawa. Trina carried the Olympic Flame in Orleans. “I couldn’t get the grin off my face” Trina said after her 300 metre jog along a street lined with dozens of cheering spectators.

Trina was chosen as a Torch Bearer after filling out an RBC online application. She pledged to improve her health, and when chosen, Trina started circuit training three times a week. Trina also took a running course at the Running Room. “Most people were there to train for the New Years Eve 5 kilometre run. I kept telling them, I don’t want to run 5km I just need to run 300metres!”

Congratulations Trina and good luck to all our Canadian athletes!
