New Pathways in Manotick thanks to Green Partnership Program

Manotick now has three new pathways that have been recently unveiled thanks to funding provided by the City’s Green Partnership Program.

Located in George McLean, Centennial and Barney McCarney parks, these projects mark the first time a Green Partnership Program Grant has been used to build walking paths. These pathways encourage walking between community attractions, and provide better access to baseball diamonds and the Rideau River.

The City’s Green Partnership Program has served as a catalyst for programs and initiatives designed to improve the quality of life for Ottawa residents. It provided $1 million in funding to community greening projects between 2006 and 2008. Thanks to staff Leslie Vanclief, Megan Soper and Anne Huneault who worked with the Manotick Community Association to make this project happen.
